Remote SF6 Gas Density Relay (WINFOSS-D6R)
Product Overview
The remote SF6 gas density relay (WINFOSS-D6R) is mainly used to monitor the density of SF6 gas or SF6/N2 mixed gas in a sealed container. It is widely used in high-voltage electrical equipment with SF6 gas as the insulating medium and is suitable for harsh outdoor working environments. The density relay has two or three sets of contacts (defined according to different needs) that can issue overpressure, alarm, and lockout control signals, and it also has an indicator display. The density relay is filled with silicone oil to enhance its resistance to vibration and impact.

The remote SF6 gas density relay (WINFOSS-D6R) integrates a precision pressure sensor and digital temperature sensor. A high-performance microprocessor collects pressure and temperature signals, calculates the standard pressure value at 20℃ using empirical formulas, and transmits it via a data bus to the host computer. It can also send a standard 4 - 20mA signal to the control room monitoring system, making it ideal for centralized monitoring of multiple SF6 gas chambers. It transmits density information from the entire monitored area to the control room, where a microcomputer can display, store, and print daily, monthly, and annual density variation curves in real time.

Principle Introduction
The remote SF6 density relay consists of two parts. One part is the pointer indication and control section of the traditional density relay. The other part is the intelligent monitoring and communication section added to meet the needs of online monitoring.
l Indicating and Control Principle:
The SF6 density relay indicates the SF6 gas density value on the dial as the pressure of the SF6 gas after temperature compensation, that is, the standard pressure value at 20℃. The SF6 density relay operates at the rated pressure. When the ambient temperature changes, the pressure of the SF6 gas also changes. The temperature compensation unit inside the density relay corrects the changing pressure to keep the pressure indication constant. When SF6 gas leaks and the pressure drops to the alarm set value, a pair of contacts in the density relay outputs an alarm signal, prompting the user to recharge the equipment. If the pressure continues to drop to the lockout set value, another pair of contacts outputs a lockout signal, which locks the control system of the equipment, thereby protecting the safe operation of the electrical equipment.
l Intelligent Monitoring and Communication Principle
The intelligent module inside the SF6 gas density relay mainly monitors the pressure sensor signal. After filtering and amplification, it is converted into a digital signal through a high-precision A/D converter. Then, a high-performance processor combines the temperature signal to calculate the density. It can use D/A conversion to produce an analog signal, which is then converted into a 4 - 20mA current signal for output. Another route uses the RS485 bus for output.
Although these solutions can meet the need to provide safety protection for equipment, they have always failed to meet the emergency or more complex safety needs of some non - professionals. In particular, the lack of more effective tools to solve problems in a timely and professional manner, such as if you have one or more of the following problems that have not been resolved for a long time:
